Seeing each other in the eyes vs. Looking into each other’s eyes: that thin line where the true visual “innovation” of Apple’s Vision Pro viewers is hidden.
While most devices allow you to “see” the context thanks to the introduction of passthrough and the enhancement of internal cameras, Vision Pro introduces the innovative feature of “two-way pass-through”, allowing others to see a representation of the eyes of the user and therefore to “look” and “be looked at”, with a 4K micro-OLED display per eye. And it does so also thanks to the front OLED screen on the outward-facing viewer.
